Masks were not mandatory for fully vaccinated visitors when I visited Epcot and Animal Kingdom. Surprisingly, only a few guests wore masks. It felt unusual to see such large crowds from all around the world, mostly without masks, myself included. Initially hesitant, I planned to wear a mask indoors, but I ended up not doing so either. The gift shops had been reorganized to provide more space, presumably to facilitate social distancing. Interestingly, not even the Disney staff, including cast members and security personnel, were wearing masks.
So, I suppose we’re all depending on the honor system now? There’s minimal reinforcement beyond a single sign at the park entrance. This is quite a shift compared to a month or two ago when strict enforcement of Covid guidelines was actively observed.
The visit to the parks was more relaxed and comfortable, nearly reminiscent of how it used to be.
Fireworks have returned to both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, featuring exciting new renditions. Additionally, Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival has kicked off earlier than usual this season and is in full swing as of July 15.
Stay positive, everyone, and tune in next time. It looks like COVID-19 is on its way out. Despite the Delta variants, we may be getting closer to normal.
